Book 1 Teaser

Other that the, “You did what?!” question I am getting, the next question is, “What’s your book about?” So today I am giving you a bit more of an extended teaser than what is listed on amazon so you can get a feel for the first book. And in case you are wondering, yes, this will be a trilogy. They will not be standalone books. All three are wrote, but books two and three are in the very rough first draft stage. I hope to release one a year.

So…here we go!

150 years ago, chemical warfare was responsible for the creation of a virus named Trident that would wipe out 99% of the world's population. In the wake of such a tragedy, the lack of people made it impossible to maintain the United States' government so an elected monarchy replaced the democracy. Presidents would now be elected after first being rigorously tested, then voted upon by the people. Good leaders were needed for not four or eight years, but for forty years. So Presidents are elected and serve from a young age until death, impeachment, or retirement. In an effort to promote population growth and families, there are one male and one female elected into this honor, a Presidential Couple. Both a Mr. and a Madam President. A husband and wife. Equally ready to take on and lead the nation out of the shadows and back into the light.

Reagan Scott finds herself chosen for the State of the Union's fifth Culling. She will compete against 49 of the country's brightest girls. And then, of course, there are the 50 boys.

Though the government truly means well, not everything is as it seems. She will be tested to the fullest extent all the while an evil storm brews.

With eliminations happening frequently, how far can she make it? And once meeting the boys, how can she be expected to, at just 18 years of age, find a partner...for life?

And does she even have what it takes to be the next Madam President?
